Current Projects

The Foundation Board of Directors, the majority of whom are actively engaged in the agriculture or forestry industry in Mississippi, have coordinated with the museum leadership to designate these priority projects which require supplemental benefactor funding.

National Agricultural Aviation Museum Renovation

The National Agricultural Aviation Museum (NAAM) will undergo renovation and expansion of its approximately 8,000 square foot exhibit area inside the main gallery of the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. Funding for this project is building, but additional support is needed before remodeling can begin.

Children’s Barn Interior

The addition of this new barnyard feature will provide an exciting opportunity for children and adults to observe typical farm livestock in a safe and convenient setting. Community financial support will be necessary to complete this project which will include an educational classroom and
animal facilities.

Museum Train Depot

The Museum tour train is currently being rebuilt to provide a more authentic appearance. A train depot, with a safe loading and unloading area, is needed to provide shelter for waiting passengers. Community donations are needed to accomplish this important improvement.
